Rawi Nanakul
Built By Someone Who's Been There

Background
I'm Rawi Nanakul (he/him), a Seattle-based second-generation Thai/Chinese/Indian American.
I founded Tech Atypically because I know what it feels like to not know. I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2020 — not by a colleague or a researcher, but by a marriage therapist who asked me one question in our first session.
The irony wasn't lost on me: I had spent years earlier in my career at the UC Davis MIND Institute, surrounded by leading ADHD researchers, and no one said a word.
I started Tech Atypically so other neurodivergent tech workers could have what I didn't — a guide who's been there, and knows the science.
With experience across Amazon, Tableau, and Coinbase — plus a background in psychology, neuroscience research, and a Fulbright Fellowship — I coach from both lived experience and the science.
Today, over 2,000 subscribers read the Tech Atypically newsletter each week.
