These Terms of Service govern your use of this website and any coaching services provided by Tech Atypically. By booking a session, purchasing a coaching package, or otherwise using our services, you agree to the terms outlined below. Tech Atypically reserves the right to update these Terms at any time, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the most current version.
Our Services
Tech Atypically provides inclusive performance coaching for neurodivergent professionals in tech, offered through three formats: Personalized 1:1 Coaching, Thematic Group Coaching (which includes a dedicated communication channel), and our free Substack newsletter. Coaching is not therapy and is not a substitute for mental health treatment; see our Disclaimer for more detail on this distinction.
Getting Started
New clients begin with 1-2 complimentary introductory sessions. Paid coaching does not begin until we've worked together to establish coaching goals. These intro sessions are for fit and goal-setting only and do not obligate you to continue into paid coaching.
Session Format & Structure
Sessions are virtual by default; in-person sessions may be available with select coaches in specific locations. We recommend structuring 1:1 coaching around a 10-session journey, held weekly or bi-weekly, though the pace and length of coaching can be adjusted to fit your goals. Coaching is not intended to be an indefinite retainer.
Between-Session Communication
Clients may stay in touch with their coach via text between sessions for continuity and quick check-ins. This communication channel is a courtesy, not a guarantee of immediate response, and is not appropriate for urgent, medical, or crisis situations. Fees & Payment
Individual coaching starts at $300/hour; pricing for group coaching and other offerings will be provided at booking. Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. If your employer or another third party is covering the cost of coaching, you remain responsible for payment if reimbursement is delayed, reduced, or denied. Upon request, we can provide invoices under a general professional-development description rather than referencing Tech Atypically by name, to support discreet reimbursement.
Confidentiality
We take your privacy seriously, but coaching does not carry the same legal confidentiality protections as licensed therapy. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your information is collected and used.
No Guarantee of Results
Coaching outcomes depend on your individual circumstances, participation, and effort. While we bring our full skill and care to every engagement, Tech Atypically cannot guarantee specific results related to your career, productivity, or wellbeing.
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations, rescheduling, and refund terms are governed by our Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy. Please review both before engaging our services. In short: all payments are generally non-refundable once services have begun.
Termination
Either you or Tech Atypically may end the coaching relationship at any time. Fees already paid for completed sessions are non-refundable; any obligations regarding unused prepaid sessions will be handled per our Refunds terms above.
Intellectual Property
Any materials, frameworks, tools, or resources shared with you as part of coaching are for your personal use only and may not be copied, distributed, or repurposed commercially without our written permission.
Limitation of Liability
By using this website and engaging our services, you agree that Tech Atypically shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from the use of our content, services, or any third-party products or services referenced on this site.
